We repeated last year's plant-based shared lunch - delicious!

Quakers and friends who couldn't get to London carried out a local vigil for peace outside the Union Church in Dorchester.

Quakers from Dorchester and other local meetings joined hundreds of other Quakers and allies from all over the country, for a silent walking vigil for peace through the West End of London, starting and ending with a meeting for worship.

Friends from Dorset and South Wiltshire & Mid-Somerset Area Meetings had a great day at the wonderful Hilfield. Highlights included the meeting for worship, the bike ride from Dorchester, and the harder-than-expected local walk.

Several Quakers from Dorchester meeting took part in this, which was on the theme of community. Othona's hospitality was second-to-none, and the sessions were rich and challenging.

A lovely time: 26 attended Meeting for Worship; the food was great, and was followed by some loud and joyful carol-singing, sung in at least 4 parts... and accompanied on a splendid keyboard.

Once again Dorchester Friends contributed a tree to St George's Christmas Tree Festival.
